About Patchwork

Promoting healthy hearts, strong minds, and happy families in our local community”

The Patchwork Foundation was founded by a group of friends who wanted to do more. Instead of getting together to eat and complain about things, we decided to work together to create positive changes in our lives, our families, and in our community. This began for many of us by getting together for play groups, to walk, run, talk about books, create healthy meal plans and more. We started to run and walk in local races. Which is not always easy to do with families, careers, and the many other demands and obligations that life brings. We have all been blessed to have wonderful families, jogging strollers, and the support of each other to help change our lives one step at a time. We soon knew that starting a new race to benefit our local community would be the perfect opportunity to foster positive lifestyles for ourselves and all of the participants. The profits from this race will go towards the planning and construction of a multi-phase wellness garden near the Kinsman Free Public Library. We hope that someday there will be a beautiful space for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy. We have each been a network for positive changes in our own lives and we hope to inspire the same mind frame of positive thinking for healthy bodies and minds for other individuals and families. We thank all of you for your support of the 4th Annual K-town 5k Race and 1 mile run/walk!
